How To Connect to the UW/WFS File Share:

 

For Windows users:

From the Start Menu, open "Computer" (a.k.a. "My Computer"). Click on "Map Network Drive" at the top of the window. Choose a drive letter (or use the one that is suggested), then enter one of the following into the folder field (Copy and Paste): 

\\netid.washington.edu\wfs\aa-users\Groups

\\netid.washington.edu\wfs\aa-research

 Choose the check box that says "Reconnect at sign-in" and then click "Finish" to connect [If you are prompted for a user name and password, enter your NetID username and password in the syntax: “netid\yournetid” and your UW NetID password. [If you don't know your password, contact David]. 

 

For Mac users:

Click the Finder application in your Dock to make it active. From the "Go" menu, choose "Connect to Server". In the Server Address field enter one of the following (copy and Paste): 

smb://netid.washington.edu/wfs/aa-users/Groups

smb://netid.washington.edu/wfs/aa-research

 

 Click "Connect" to connect [If you are prompted for a user name and password, enter your NetID username and password in the syntax: “netid\yournetid” and your UW NetID password.  [If you don't know your password, contact David].
