The Front Desk may not check out keys to anyone.
Labs/Offices
If someone can not get into their lab or other space, ask if they are currently employed or enrolled.
If yes, they can email aa-access@uw.edu to troubleshoot.
Rachel, Sean and Betsy have access to all spaces. They generally all leave at 4pm.
Amy has access to some spaces. If no one is still in the office with access to these spaces and someone needs to get into a lab ASAP, contact UWPD (206) 685-8973.
Classrooms 204 / 218
We do not have access to these classrooms as they are not “in the department.”
The classrooms are set to automatically unlock 15 minutes before a scheduled class or event.
We can only provide more information by checking the room schedule in 25live.
Type in GUG 204 or GUG 218 in the search bar
Select “Calendar” and see if their class/exam is on the calendar
Classroom Services manages access to these two rooms, and we have no way to contact them
Gas shed
The front desk no longer handles the Gas Shed key. See the intranet for Gas Shed access requests: https://www.aa.washington.edu/intranet/facilities
Keys locations
The Front Desk does not give out keys.
AERB, GUG, and Steelcase keys are kept in the key lockers in the GUG 211 copy room
The keys to these key lockers are in the main office desk safe
Key pickup
A&A Facilities will prepare any key for pickup and leave it at the Front Desk.
When someone comes to pick up their key, they must sign and leave the key checkout form.
Put the signed key checkout form in Sean Krewson’s mailbox.
Key return
When someone returns a key:
Check Key Inventory Form and send Sean Krewson (skrewson@uw.edu) an email with the key #, sub #, room #, a picture of the key and the key holder's name
Return key to the key cabinet if possible
