Health and Safety Requirements
Prior to engaging in any building or testing activities all students are expected to take all A&A required safety training on an annual basis. This includes:
Covid-19 - Back to Work
Asbestos awareness (online)
Fire extinguisher (online)
Electrical safety - basic (online)
Lead awareness (online)
Hazard Communication Training -GHS Hazcom
Managing Lab Chemicals
Any other applicable safety training deemed advisable in discussions with the Faculty Advisor.
Accident & Injury Reporting
Any accident/incident in labs, courses, RSO activities and more should be submitted by a person with firsthand experience with the activity, and a UW Online Accident Reporting System (OARS) report should be filed. Please be sure to also email this report to aasafety@uw.edu.
