Facilities Support

Student Trainings

  1. Students trained on Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) for appropriate labs

  2. Students have an active CORAL profile

  3. Any student who plans to access the Machine Shop must complete Machine Shop training, beginning in October.

TAs and GSAs Requirements

  1. Complete required EHS courses

  2. Trained on classroom SOPs

  3. Understand tracking process for any tools/equipment used in labs

  4. CORAL account setup

Machine Shop Usage

  1. A&A's Machine Shop is prioritized first for both A&A courses and affiliated RSO's requiring machine shop time

  2. Prior to using shops in other departments on campus (such as in Mechanical Engineering), groups must obtain written approval from their advisor/course instructor, including which budget to use before reserving time in other spaces. This approval should then be shared with the Administrator and Director of Academic Services when the space reservation is made. Please confer with your TA or GSA and facilities team to see if using other spaces is absolutely necessary.
